DEAR DIARY: DOUBLE MY WEIGHT LOSS, PLEASE!
One of the most effective weight-loss actions is LIFTING a pen! This week the news reports confirmed something that we Weight Watchers already knew: you can lose more weight by keeping a food diary. In a recent study by the Kaiser Permanente Center, participants who kept food journals more than five days a week lost almost twice as much weight as those who didn't. And perhaps more impressively, they kept the weight off. It didn't matter if it was a pen and ink journal on paper, an on-line journal or just a text message or email sent to yourself. Check out the ABC
news video or read the story. And yes, that IS a Weight Watchers Quik Trak Diary featured in the ABC news video!

ARTICLES OF NOTE
It's important for us to understand our eating patterns - the specific times of day when we usually eat. How often we eat is related to how satisfied we feel. If we skip meals or snacks, hunger may increase (drop below the Comfort Zone), or we may feel less satisfied. This week we will explore two types of eating patterns - structured and unstructured - and develop some strategies for making our own patterns work for us.

Have a great week, everyone!
