Tracking & the Simply Filling Technique

Hello, Weight Watchers! Did you have the opportunity to take the Habit Profile in your Week Four booklet last week? Developing the habits of successful members can keep us going, even when you're searching for your motivation.

NEW PRODUCTS - AVAILABLE AT A MEETING NEAR YOU!
There are three new exciting goodies available at Weight Watchers. Blueberry Harvest oatmeal can add some pizazz to a ho-hum breakfast routine, while the new POINTS clicker makes tracking your POINTS values a breeze. And, what I'm predicting will be a new favorite, Mint Cookie Crisp Mini bars - minty, chocolatey goodness for just one POINTS value! (Freeze one, dice it up, and add it to a Creamy Chocolate smoothie - YUM!) The new Cappuccino Melts candy is a great treat - 10 candies for just one POINTS value!

Make sure to attend your meeting the week of March 1 for your free sample of the Mint Cookie Crisp bar and again the week of March 7 for a sample of the Cappuccino Melts.

EXCITING NEWS FOR THE WESTSIDE WEIGHT WATCHERS CENTER
Those of you who attend at the Westside Center may know that we've been searching for a new home for well over a year now. Well, we've found it! The last meeting in our current location will be held Saturday, March 7. Join us Sunday March 8 in our new location in the Wal-Mart plaza on Lafayette Road for our Grand Opening from 2-4pm. There will be giveaways, local vendor booths, and prizes.

Even if you can't make it on Sunday, the entire first month will be full of surprises for Westside Center members. There will be a big drawing with a guaranteed winner in every single meeting at the end of the month!

ARTICLES OF NOTE

Tracking builds awareness and control, but is often abandoned after a few weeks on plan. Slow weight-loss results may be the result of less compliance with tracking. Not all members are "wired" to track, however, so we have some options with the new Momentum plan.

Have a great week, everyone! I'll see you at your meeting!

Island Pork and Pineapple Kebabs
Makes 4 servings
POINTS value per serving: 5

1/2 cup reduced-sugar apricot preserves
1 tablespoon lime juice
◊1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed and cut into 20 chunks
◊16 fresh pineapple chunks
1 1/4 teaspoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Spray a broiler rack with nonstick spray and preheat the broiler.

2. To make the glaze, combine the preserves and lime juice in a small bowl; mix well and set aside.

3. Combine the pork, pineapple, jerk seasoning, and salt in a medium bowl; toss to coat. Thread the pork and pineapple alternately on 4 (12-inch) metal skewers. Place the kebabs on the broiler rack and broil 5 inches from the heat, turning every 2 minutes, until the pork is cooked through, about 8 minutes. Brush the kebabs with half the glaze and broil 1 minute. Turn the kebabs, brush with the remaining glaze, and broil until lightly browned, about 1 minute longer. Serve at once.
