Recovering From Summer, Part 1

Hello, Weight Watchers! Did last week's meeting help you bust those cravings and urges? These can be tough, but if we think of them as a normal part of life rather than a stumbling block, we can move past them and let our weight loss continue!

CAPEHART FEDERAL BUILDING AT-WORK MEMBERS
As of Thursday, we have nine members paid for the new series. Please contact Julianne Thieleman today if you have not yet paid for the new series. We need at least 15 paid members by 10am Tuesday morning to hold Week One of the new series Tuesday afternoon. Please contact me if you have any questions!

COVANCE AT WORK MEMBERS
Please plan to attend our Open House meeting on August 28. We will be doing a recipe swap, so bring several copies of your favorite WW-friendly recipe to share!

PANIC BUTTON: LATE-NIGHT SNACKING

I try to distract myself (or just go to bed, as member Barbara challenged me this week!), but late-night Hungries attack me out of the blue sometimes. If I want to have a snack, I love the WW Smoothies now that the temperatures have risen! Creamy Chocolate is great for that sweet fix, and French Vanilla can be jazzed up with pretty much any fruit or mix-in flavor. (Try orange juice and frozen pineapple for an Orange Julius taste-alike!) Each box contains seven one-POINTS value packets for just $7.50. The packet, plus one cup of milk or soy milk, counts as your entire dairy requirement for the day!

ARTICLES OF NOTE
After a vacation or other break from our routine, it can be difficult to get back on track with our weight loss habits, even when we're back in our daily rituals. This can cause a plateau, or a period of slowed weight loss. The key to breaking through is re-finding the good habits we incorporated when we first started losing weight. In this week's meeting, we will discuss how to use the four-way approach to stay connected or re-connect with our weight loss.

Have a great week, everyone! I'll see you at your meeting!
