PANIC BUTTON
How do you become a Lifetime member?

First, you need to reach your weight goal. Many members set their weight goal sometime after reaching their 10% target, but it can be set by your Leader at any time.

If your desired goal is within the Healthy Weight Range for your height from the chart in the Welcome to Your Meeting Week One booklet, your Leader can set it whenever you ask for a weight conference. A note from your doctor with your name and a specific weight goal is required to set a goal anywhere outside of these ranges.

Once you reach your weight goal, you will follow the Weight Watchers Maintenance program for six weeks. It's okay if you still want to lose more weight later, but we prefer that members actually follow the Maintenance program for these six weeks. This will give you the opportunity to find the balance of Eating Wisely and Moving More that will allow you to maintain your goal weight. It is absolutely normal and expected that your weight will bounce around a little during this time - this is feedback to tell you what adjustments you need to make the the Maintenance program.

At the end of your sixth paid week of Maintenance, if you are no more than two pounds above your goal weight, you will earn Lifetime membership with Weight Watchers. Lifetime members must weigh in at the first meeting attended of each calendar month. As long as you attended anytime the previous calendar month and are no more than two pounds above your weight goal, the Weight Watchers meetings and program materials are absolutely free.

Lifetime members more than two pounds over goal need only pay until they are back to within two pounds of their goal weight. Registration fees and missed week fees do not apply to Lifetime members over goal.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT
With Fall in full swing, I am LOVING the Vanilla Chai smoothie mix! It is filled with yummy spices and counts as one required dairy serving. I make mine with 1/2 cup pumpkin, one cup skim milk, lots of ice, and one teaspoon canola oil. It's a pumpkin pie in a glass and super-filling!

Don't forget that all current cookbooks are half price until Jan 3. This is a great opportunity to get out of a food rut or make up a great gift basket for the Weight Watchers in your life!

I have just come into possession of three copies of Best Desserts (sale price $5) and am down to three copies of My TurnAround (sale price $6.50), and four copies of Mix it Match it (sale price $10) - e-mail me to reserve yours today!

ARTICLES OF NOTE
As the Presidential elections are on our minds this week, this meeting encourages us to also cast a vote for ourselves (ie practice the Take Care of Yourself Helpful Habit). Losing weight and keeping it off is likely important to all of us - having a sense of our own importance and worth and our personal responsibility in the process will help us stay focused.

Have a great week, everyone!
