Hello, Weight Watchers! For anyone who had Thanksgiving celebrations this weekend (myself included), are you happy with how you handled the event? If your celebration still to come (alas, I am also in this category!), what is your plan?
NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT AND SAVE TIME AND GAS?
Interested in having WW meetings right where you work? Call (800) 8AT WORK and ask for details! The Corporate Accounts Manager for Indiana is Cindy Janicki. You will need someone to serve as a client contact and 15 paid participants to begin.
PANIC BUTTON
I'm going shopping all day Friday and can't eat healthy food!
As usual, deep breaths. :) This is one of those situations where you having a plan is more important to me than the details of your plan. Ask yourself some questions - What do I want to have happen that day? What do I need to do to make that happen? Is that something I can do? Is that something I will do?
With these answers, you can formulate your plan. You might carry your Dining Out guide if you think fast food is in your future, or pack your purse/car with healthy snacks ahead of time. Wear a pedometer and watch those steps rack up! (Heck, if you're a really efficient shopper, you could be home in time for a healthy lunch and a walk!)
COOKING UP SUCCESS
This holiday season, WW is cooking up success for are members! We know that it's challenging to Eat Wisely (one part of the Four-Way Approach!) during this season. We also know that Attending Weekly Meetings (yet another part!) is essential to member success.
Each week Nov 30-Jan 3, members will receive an exclusive holiday recipe in their meeting. In addition, each member will have three chances to enter a drawing for a gift basket filled with Land's End WW logo apron, Measurite set, selection of WW Sides, POINTS food scale, and WW cookbook, worth $100 total! Members receive a ticket to enter in the drawing when you: stay for a meeting, bring a friend who joins, purchase $20 in meeting room products. Plus, receive a BONUS ticket if you attend at least five meetings during the promotion period.
This time, the promotion is for At-Work members, in addition to traditional/traveler meetings - yay! I will also be holding a drawing in each meeting to ensure that each meeting has a big winner - prizes TBA!
ARTICLES OF NOTE
Sometimes it seems that food pushers are everywhere. Just when we get our families on board, the waiter or an in-law insists that, "just one bite won't hurt." This week, we will identify everyone in our lives with whom eating or lack of exercise is an issue, and help apply the Ask for Help Helpful Habit to our lives.
Have a great week, everyone! I hope to see you at a meeting!
FYI: If your meeting is closed and you would like to attend a meeting with me as the leader, I will be subbing the Saturday 9am meeting at New Life Church on 86th near Ditch (across the street from Half Price Books).
