Hello, Weight Watchers! Have you recovered from Thanksgiving? No matter how you feel about how you handled the holiday (and/or the weekend after), today is a great day to get back on track! DON'T SKIP YOUR MEETING THIS WEEK IF YOU FEEL YOU DID BADLY LAST WEEK! (Yes, I'm shouting.) Feel free to use that No Weigh-In Pass if you need to, but it's VERY important to come in for the accountability and the support this week. Don't put it off!

Cookbooks make great holiday gifts! All meeting room books and cookbooks (excluding Companions and Healthy Cooking Basics) are half price November 8 through December 5. Treat yourself or get an inexpensive stocking stuffer!

Only One Pound

Hello, do you know me?

If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat,

And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.

Want to know why?

It's because no one ever wants to lose me;

I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!

Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.

So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.

Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.

That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.

Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.

So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."

(As if that were such a terrible thing.)

For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.

And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

HEALTHY FOR CHEAP TIP OF THE WEEK
Drink only water. Crystal Light, sodas, and coffee all cost more than plain water (even if you have to buy the refillable gallon jugs or a Brita pitcher!).

This week, bring in packaging from your favorite healthy food and/or your favorite easy recipe. Sticking to the same old thing can lead to food boredom, which can leave us vulnerable to temptation. Changing up our food choices increases satisfaction and long-term weight loss success!

Chocolate Cream Stacks
Makes 4 servings (1 stack)
POINTS® value: 4

2 (4-ounce) refrigerated chocolate fat-free pudding snack
1/2 tsp grated orange zest + additional for garnish
1/3 cup + 3 Tbsp thawed frozen fat-free whipped topping
16 chocolate wafer cookies

1. Stir together the chocolate pudding and orange zest in a medium bowl. Fold in 1/3 cup of the whipped topping.

2. Spread 1 Tbsp of the pudding mixture on each of the cookies. Stack 4 cookies and place on a dessert plate. Repeat to make a total of 4 stacks. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the cookies soften, at least 4 hours or up to overnight. Top each stack with a dollop of the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with the remaining orange zest. Serve at once.
