Ol' Zig might be on to something there. Weight Watchers members who attend weekly meetings lose three times as much weight as those who go it alone. Are Meetings members getting weekly secret weight-loss serum? Is it something in the air?
The real truth is that weekly meeting attenders get a special dose of motivation each week. Meetings attenders tend to stick with the program longer, follow the program more closely, and lose more weight.
If you're feeling low, now is the time to hit a meeting ASAP! WW meetings staff are all Lifetime members who have lost at least five pounds with the program. (And many have lost much more!) We've been there and know how it feels. Chances are that everyone in your meeting has felt that way sometime. Come and let us lift you up!
HEALTHY TIP FOR CHEAP OF THE WEEK
It's a popular myth that fresh produce is much more expensive than junky snacks. The truth is that you can have fresh produce every week, simply pay attention to sales, "manager's specials" (perfectly good food that is nearing its sell-by date and heavily discounted), and what's in season in your part of the country. Potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and greens tend to be especially good buys.
